Activating Vedder Mountain

Eric, Geoff and Bruce Prior hiked Vedder Mountain to initiate the summit into the Summits on the Air program. This summit was recently added to the list and this was its first activation. The hike is a very pleasant one and not difficult. We all quit enjoyed the walk through the trees and then the lovely view from the summit. Eric was able to make 6 contacts on 2m with his handheld and his portable Yagi. Bruce made a few contacts on 17m with his KX2 on CW. Geoff just enjoyed the adventure and the views.
