BC QSO Party 2015

BC QSO Party 2015

Club members once again setup a station and participated in the annual BC Event. This year we were able to use the newly installed Carolina Windom antenna at the arena. It worked well on its christening event. For the day we used a combination of Jim's old Icom radio that he has in his go kit, and Eric's IC-7000 which is part of his 'travel bag'. In all, 53 contacts were made in the 3 hours we were active on the air. Contacts ranged from local stations through California, the east coast and even a couple European stations. Operators included Ralph, Jim, Eric, Bill and Don, Brett brought his notebook with n1mm loaded and did logging and help deciphering the callsigns - serious help for those of us struggling to pick out a callsign.

We all had a fun time and felt the event went very nicely for us.

Coffee Meetings

We meet every Sunday at 3pm for coffee and a chance to share our recent adventures with radio technology. We really enjoy meeting new people who are interested in learning about Amateur Radio or even other Hams! Join us this Sunday. We currently meet at the food court in Semiahmoo Mall.

Please join us on our weekly net - every Thursday 7:30pm on the White Rock Repeater
