Field Day 2018

Field Day 2018

Club members participated in the annual ARRL Field Day again this year. This year we were once again down at the beach in White Rock. Our operation was fairly simple and quick to set up this year. For HF we used Bill's Icom IC-7000 coupled with Don's Crank-IR, which we operated on 20 meters mainly on phone. Jim brought his camper with his HF equipment, he stretched out a G5RV antenna and was on the air on 40m. Eric set up his arrow 4 element yagi on 2m to catch the odd person there.

We operated for 4 hours and made 62 contacts. So it wasn't a bad day for us. The location is quite pleasant except for the noise of the trains that are only a few feet away!

Coffee Meetings

We meet every Sunday at 3pm for coffee and a chance to share our recent adventures with radio technology. We really enjoy meeting new people who are interested in learning about Amateur Radio or even other Hams! Join us this Sunday. We currently meet at the food court in Semiahmoo Mall.

Please join us on our weekly net - every Thursday 7:30pm on the White Rock Repeater
