RAC Winter Contest 2015

Members of the club gathered in the Lounge at Centennial Arena for a few hours Saturday morning to operate in the annual contest. This year eight members came out to participate in the excitement of the contest. Bill was gracious in bringing his go kit with his IC-7000 radio, tuner and power supply. For our antenna we used the Carolina Windom which we have permanently mounted at the arena. We were on the air around 9am but had some issues with the radio, after adjusting enough settings it was operational and we started making some contacts. After a couple of hours we had completed 37 contacts and packed up for the day. It was fun and we actually made more contacts than we had donuts brought in!

Coffee Meetings

We meet every Sunday at 3pm for coffee and a chance to share our recent adventures with radio technology. We really enjoy meeting new people who are interested in learning about Amateur Radio or even other Hams! Join us this Sunday. We currently meet at the food court in Semiahmoo Mall.

Please join us on our weekly net - every Thursday 7:30pm on the White Rock Repeater
