Simulated Emergency Test

Simulated Emergency Test

This morning club members joined with other stations across the south-western region of the province to practice emergency communication. The stations used three main modes of transmission - VHF, HF and digital messaging. Our station was hosted by club member Deme, and we were able to use all three modes for the exercise. It was interesting to realize that our messages were transmitted through Duncan and then the internet organized them in Perth Australia before sending back to the PREOC in north Surrey.
