Simulated Emergency Test - October 2015

Our club participated again this year in the province wide Emergency Test. We had a good number od members turn out for our operation  in the Lounge at the arena. Ralph brought his HF radio and used the Windom Antenna permanently installed at the arena. He checked in via the HF nets. Bill used a mobile VHF radio to take check ins on the repeater and local frequencies. Finally Don brought his computer and VHF hand-held with an amplifier to manage a digital station through which we were able to check-in to the PREOC and pass 37 messages.

Members set up around 8am and we closed down at 11:45. It was a good event from our end and those that came out had a good time during the exercise.

Coffee Meetings

We meet every Sunday at 3pm for coffee and a chance to share our recent adventures with radio technology. We really enjoy meeting new people who are interested in learning about Amateur Radio or even other Hams! Join us this Sunday. We currently meet at the food court in Semiahmoo Mall.

Please join us on our weekly net - every Thursday 7:30pm on the White Rock Repeater
