Tour de White Rock

Club members helped the city again this year with deploying the commercial repeater and helping ensure adequate handheld coverage is available throughout the challenging environment the race takes place in. Club members set up the repeater and the end of the pier again this year.  To increase signal strength, a comet 50 antenna loaned by club member Eric was substituted for the small whip supplied with the repeater. This has worked well in previous years and did again this year. Once the cycling event finished, the members returned to the end of the pier to pack up the radio equipment.
